If recent leaks are anything to go by, Nothing has something planned. According to leaker Billbil-Kun, who’s also been associated with leaked info on PlayStation in the past, the “something” in question could be a new, cheaper pair of headphones, as well as a new non-flagship phone.
According to Billbil-Kun, the tech startup known for its eye-catching transparent gadgets is planning to launch the Headphone A, which will be a cheaper version of the Headphone 1. When I say “cheaper,” I mean potentially a lot cheaper. Leaks suggest that the Headphone A could debut at 159 euros, which is about half the price of Headphone 1, which launched at 299 euros and $299 USD.
Previous leaks reported by Android Authority suggest that one of the primary differences between the Headphone 1 and the Headphone A is the latter’s plastic body. While the Headphone 1 incorporates a lot of plastic, the frame is actually made of aluminum for durability. It’s hard to say what the difference in build will be without seeing the Headphone A for myself, but I’m picturing something closer to CMF’s Headphone Pro.
In addition to pricing, leaks from Billbil-Kun also suggest that Nothing is expected to launch preorders for the Headphone A on Mar. 5 with a Mar. 12 ship date. Headphone A, similarly to Nothing’s Ear A, will reportedly come in more colors, including pink, white, black, and yellow. The Headphone 1, for reference, only come in white and black.
The internal differences between the two pairs of headphones (drivers and features) remain to be seen, but given that the Headphone A are forecasted to debut at half the price, I’m going to assume that there will be differences here as well.
Nothing Phone 4a also incoming?
Aligning with the Mar. 5 reveal date of the Headphone A is the next edition of Nothing’s A-series phones, the Phone 4a and 4a Pro. According to leaker, Yogesh Brar on X, those phones will be announced at the same time as the Headphone A and will come with some tweaks to the current generation Phone 3a and 3a Pro.

Among the upgrades are allegedly upgraded storage options and a small battery bump, but undoubtedly, the one tweak that will jump out to fans of Nothing’s hardware the most is the potential for a new design. Designs of the Phone 3 and Phone 3a Pro were polarizing in different ways, but both centered on the camera module, so it’ll be interesting to see if Nothing plays it safe on that front. I suspect no matter what Nothing does on the design front, one group or another will be up in arms.
Yogesh Brar claims that Nothing is sticking with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset in its Phone 4a and 4a Pro, though these are more midrange-focused devices, so I wouldn’t expect the newest version.
There is one not-so-welcome rumor in this leak, and it has to do with price. Yogesh Brar also says that the Phone 4a and 4a Pro will debut at a higher price than the Phone 3a and 3a Pro, which isn’t surprising, even if it’s a bit of a bummer. For context, the Phone 3a and 3a Pro debuted at $379 and $459, respectively, for their base configurations of storage and RAM. A price hike isn’t surprising since Nothing CEO Carl Pei already hinted at higher costs due to constraints procuring RAM and flash storage across the consumer tech industry.
The good news is, if leaks are to be believed, we’ll have to wait just a month to get all the answers on Nothing’s new hardware. I, for one, look forward to all the arguing over the new Phone 4a design.
