Apple Now Sells Refurbished iPhone 16 Lineup With Discounts Up To 22%

Apple has expanded its refurbished product offering by making the iPhone 16 series available through its official online store. The refurbished lineup is now on sale in the United States, Canada, and several European countries, including Germany, Spain, France, and the Netherlands.

The company states that the refurbished models are priced between 12% and 22% below their original retail prices. The selection covers the full iPhone 16 range, from the base model to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, giving consumers access to premium variants at significantly lower prices.

Notably, Apple continues to sell the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus as new devices, now at reduced prices. However, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are no longer listed as new products. This makes the refurbished versions the only official option for customers looking to purchase these higher-end models directly from Apple.

All devices in the iPhone 16 family are powered by Apple’s A18 and A18 Pro chips, which support on-device processing for Apple Intelligence features. The Pro models retain their positioning as the most advanced options in the lineup, offering 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays, 4K video recording at up to 120 frames per second, and a dedicated Camera Control button. This new control feature is available across all iPhone 16 variants.

Sales data underscores the commercial success of the lineup. Research firm Counterpoint reports that the iPhone 16 was the world’s best-selling smartphone in 2025, with Apple claiming seven of the ten spots in the global top-10 ranking.

When the iPhone 16 series debuted in September 2024, prices ranged from US$799 for the base model to US$1,199 for the Pro Max. Currently, new versions of the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are priced at US$699 and US$799, respectively. Refurbished pricing starts at US$619 for the iPhone 16 and goes up to US$929 for the Pro Max.

Apple emphasizes that these refurbished devices differ from standard used phones. Each unit undergoes full testing, includes a new battery and outer enclosure, and ships unlocked with a USB-C cable. They also come with a one-year Apple warranty and support for AppleCare+.
