I use several streaming devices with my TV, but the one I’ve been using much more recently is my Roku Ultra, mainly because of how many FAST (free ad-supported TV) channels The Roku Channel offers, and the lineup just keeps expanding.
Already in January and February this year, Roku added a bunch of new channels to its lineup, like Pokémon and America’s Funniest Videos, and in March that streak continues in a much bigger way.
Thanks to a wave of recent additions, The Roku Channel now features over 20 new game show channels (via Cord Cutter News). This lineup includes a mix of classic game shows like The Price Is Right and Family Feud, along with popular reality TV competition series such as Hell’s Kitchen, Survivor, and The Amazing Race.
So if you’re a fan of game shows or high-stakes competitions, there’s a lot more for you to watch for free on The Roku Channel now. Here’s a list of all the recently added channels you can check out:
- American Gladiators
- American Ninja Warrior
- Deal or No Deal
- Deal Zone by History
- Estrella Games
- Family Feud
- Fear Factor
- Gameshow Central
- Kitchen Nightmares & Hell’s Kitchen
- Let’s Make a Deal
- Impossible
- More Games to Love from Buzzr
- Project Runway
- Shark Tank
- Shark Tank Latino
- Supermarket Sweep
- Survivor Pluto TV
- The Amazing Race Pluto
- The Celebrity Name Game Channel
- The Great British Baking Show
- The Masked Singer
- The Price is Right
- Who Wants To Be A Millionaire
- Wild ‘N Out Pluto
How to find all these channels easily on your Roku
Roku recently introduced a new search feature to the live TV guide
With The Roku Channel now offering over 500 channels, including all the recent additions listed above, actually finding the channel you’re looking for in the live TV guide can be a bit tricky. But thanks to a recent Roku OS update, the live TV guide now includes a built-in search feature, so you no longer have to endlessly scroll through it.
To find the new search feature, open the live TV guide on your Roku, then navigate to the categories on the left within the guide itself, where you’ll see it (as you can see in the image above).
Once you’ve selected Search, just type in whatever channel or genre you’re looking for, and it will find it. For example, if you’re looking for The Price Is Right, just type it in, or use the microphone feature on the remote to search for it by voice, and the channel you’re looking for will pop up.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that even if you don’t own a Roku streaming device, you can still access its free channels. The Roku Channel is available on other platforms, such as Samsung smart TVs and Fire TV devices. You can also stream it online via The Roku Channel website or on your phone using the Roku app, available on iOS and Android.
Beyond the Roku Channel, if you’re looking for more free content to check out, some of the apps I use that have a ton of free TV channels and on-demand content include Plex, Tubi, and Pluto TV.
