Honor X7d 5G Launched With Snapdragon Chip, 6500mAh Battery, And Android 15

Honor has officially introduced the Honor X7d 5G, just days after unveiling the 4G version. Positioned in the entry-level segment, the new device targets users seeking basic performance and modern connectivity. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset and comes in a single configuration with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

In terms of design, the Honor X7d 5G is almost indistinguishable from its 4G counterpart, retaining a familiar appearance. The phone features a 6.77-inch TFT LCD screen with HD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 850 nits. There is no in-display fingerprint sensor; instead, authentication is handled via a side-mounted reader. Honor has also included a dedicated side button for quick access to shortcuts such as flashlight, screenshot, calculator, and the company’s AI assistant.

The rear camera module may look like it houses four sensors, but in reality, there are only two functional lenses. The main camera is a 50 MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, supported by a 2 MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the device includes a 5 MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture, positioned in a small notch at the top of the display. Both the front and rear cameras are capable of recording video at up to 1080p resolution.

One of the standout features of the Honor X7d 5G is its battery. Despite its slim 8.24 mm profile, the phone houses a large 6,500 mAh lithium polymer (Li-Po) battery. It supports 35W fast charging, though it does not use newer silicon-carbon battery technology.

On the software side, the device launches with Android 15 and Honor’s proprietary MagicOS 9 interface. Additional features include NFC, Wi-Fi 5, IP65 certification for dust and water resistance, reinforced drop protection, and dual speakers that Honor claims can deliver “400% volume,” though the exact meaning of this claim remains unclear.

Availability and Price

The Honor X7d 5G was first announced in Malaysia and will be offered in two color options: Velvet Black and Desert Gold. Honor has not yet disclosed pricing or availability details for the market.
