Samsung Galaxy A57 And A37 Launch With IP68, One UI 8.5, And Exynos SoCs

Samsung has officially introduced the new Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G to the global smartphone market after months of rumors and leaks. Both devices arrive with a refreshed design and updated specifications, reinforcing the company’s presence in the mid-range segment.

In terms of design, Samsung adopts a minimalist approach. The rear camera module features a pill-shaped layout that houses the sensors, while the LED flash sits separately. On the front, both models include slim bezels and a centered hole-punch display. Durability has also improved, as both devices now carry an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The Galaxy A57 5G is notably thinner than its predecessor, contributing to a more premium feel.

Both smartphones feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Performance differs between the models: the Galaxy A37 is powered by the Exynos 1480 chipset, while the Galaxy A57 uses the more advanced Exynos 1680 platform. Memory configurations include 6GB or 8GB of RAM for the A37 and up to 12GB for the A57, with storage options ranging from 128GB to 512GB depending on the market.

Connectivity features include 5G support, Wi-Fi 6 (or Wi-Fi 6E on the A57), Bluetooth, and NFC for contactless payments. Both devices are equipped with 5,000mAh batteries supporting 45W wired fast charging.

Galaxy A37 5G

Camera systems are similar but not identical. Both models include a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization. The Galaxy A57 offers a 12MP ultrawide lens and a 5MP macro camera, while the A37 includes an 8MP ultrawide and the same 5MP macro lens. A 12MP front camera is present on both devices.

On the software side, the phones run Android 16 with One UI 8.5 and promise up to six years of updates. AI features include Gemini Assistant, real-time translation, object removal in photos, voice transcription, and enhanced image editing tools.

The devices are already available in Europe and India, with prices starting at €449.90 (~$520) for the Galaxy A37 5G and €549.90 (~$635) for the Galaxy A57 5G. As for the colors, the A57 5G will be offered in Awesome Navy, Awesome Gray, Awesome Icyblue and Awesome Lilac, while the Galaxy A37 5G comes in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Graygreen and Awesome White
