Holiday sales aren’t as cut-throat as they used to be. Deals used to be upwards of 70% off, and the markdowns used to lure hordes of shoppers to stores and malls around the country to (literally) fight over savings.

But now, there’s the luxury of shopping from our couches. Is the trade-off sales you’d also see on any given Labor Day? Maybe. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t some real steals on the market. Especially on Amazon — Kindle deals are still riding high for Cyber Monday. But which Kindles are worth snagging today? Only these three, and here’s why.

The Kindle Scribe is Amazon’s digital notebook to replace all paper ones. In the last two months since I started using a Scribe, my stack of notebooks and spiral-bound agendas has sat on the corner of my desk completely untouched. While it doesn’t feel exactly like pen on paper, its unique texture and versatility are definitely worth its weight in gold.

But, as I’ve claimed before, the Scribe has a wince-worth price tag for being a notebook replacement alone (even if it’s also an e-reader). I wouldn’t buy it again at full price, but I’m very glad to have it in my possession. So, that means the only good time to add it to yours is when it’s on sale.

The Kindle Scribe (32 GB) is down to $280 right now for Amazon’s Cyber Monday sale, which is 33% off and its lowest price ever. This is the best Kindle deal right now markdown-wise, but also because it’s the same sale price as the 16 GB model. Twice the storage for the same dollar amount? Yes please.

Lowest price ever — $30 off for Cyber Monday

Amazon’s basic Kindle model sets the bar high for every other, more advanced model. The six-inch display and six-week battery life revolutionizes reading for bookworms of every caliber, whether you’re strictly a commuter book-comber or devouring standalone novels on a beach towel over spring break. If all you want is an e-reader to make reading easier, the base Kindle has it all.

Even at its regular $110, the base Kindle is a great deal. But right now for Cyber Monday, it’s marked down to only $80 — 27% off and its lowest price ever. It makes an already impressive gift that much easier on your wallet. Use that $30 for a carrying case, perhaps. I might just have to get another model in Matcha myself.

Kindle Colorsoft (16 GB)

The Kindle Colorsoft is Amazon’s first colorful E Ink tablet. It has the same seven-inch display as the Paperwhite, but boasts a palette the black and white models can only dream of, and is specifically geared towards graphic novel readers. Plus, for any color-coding fanatics (like myself), you can highlight important text or favorite scenes in yellow, orange, pink, or blue.

The Colorsoft is on sale right now for only $170 — a record low for Amazon and 32% off. However, I’ll highlight what puts this deal at the bottom of my “best” list: 16 GB might seem endless storage for traditional e-books (I’ve never once come close to hitting capacity on my Paperwhite), but graphic novels take up much more data per page. So, you may not be able to load thousands upon thousands of comics or manga to this Colorsoft at once ( I talk more about storage capacity for your Kindle models here).

If you mostly read traditional e-books and dabble here and there with a comic or two, the 16 GB Colorsoft is the perfect e-reader and will give you the best of both worlds. But if the only kind of media you read are graphic novels, you might be better served by the Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition, which is 32 GB and $50 off for Cyber Monday, too.
